At the beginning of the story, Hollydeva is a 12-year-old girl. She is the daughter of the Grand Inquisitor of the 9 Nacharya, a group of powerful men who oversee the fate of the world. She lives with her father in Georgsburg Castle. Her mother abandoned her at an early age. She lives with Hollydeva’s two brothers, Einar and Baldar, on Linden Island.

Three events in September prompt Hollydeva to embark on a long, dangerous journey, a mission and a quest.

Guuz, the Deva of the Daisies, asks her to help prevent the alchymists, or “scientists”, from continuing with their experiments, which are affecting the existence of plants and insects, especially bees.

Astrello, the star boy, ends up in their care in the dungeons of Georgsburg.

The Wizards, magicians and wizards, attack Georgsburg to free the young magician Miona, lover of the Prince of Wizards, Cevaine Mire, whom Hollydeva’s old mentor among the 9 Nacharyas, the Bhogi, had taken to the dungeon with her help.

But before she can fulfill her mission, she becomes a novice at the Linden Island convent school, where she and eleven others learn the eight paths of mysticism. She becomes Sister “Scorpio” and soon has to complete a new, dangerous mission to save Linden Island, during which she is introduced to the Dark Master Finster.
