The Story

Twelve-year-old Hollydeva grows up in Georgeburg Castle, where she helps her father, the Grand Inquisitor of the Nine Nacharya, question prisoners. Then she meets Astrello, the Star Boy – and Guuz, a daisy deva, gives her a task far bigger than herself: to stand against the alchymists, whose meddling is killing the bees, the plants and Yrth itself.

When the wizardeurs attack and the castle burns, Hollydeva flees to Linden Island, a monastery school for young mystics. There she becomes Sister Scorpio, finds eleven friends, joins the Yana of the Ravens – and learns that the island she has come to love is in grave danger.
